Since Lord Wellington passed through Seaford, The Wellington has played an important role for many Seafordians. Lord Wellington stayed in this very establishment when he was inspecting the famous 'cinque ports' of the area that acted as the defences from the continent. It was one of the only places that Wellington could find a place to sleep and was supposedly an inn of "controversial repute".
It then evolved into what you see today: that slightly special local that you bring your friends to, to have a good drink, soak up the atmosphere and grab a bite to eat.
The Wellington is proud to be a member of the Seaford community. We hope also that Seaford is proud to have us here too. So, if you are from Seaford make sure you bring your visiting friends and family here next time for a quiet drink. Or, if you just happen to be passing through, welcome to The Wellington and welcome to Seaford.
